WHO WE ARE

KP Overseas is the third generation of a family that has worked in embroidery since the seventies. The business started as a trading house. Keval's father took it forward and moved it out of trading and into manufacturing — the decision everything we do now rests on.

Today the plant at Bhidbhanjan runs Shifli and laser machinery with over seventy-five people on the floor, supported by a team of ten at our office in Surat.

In an average month we move a million metres of lace and a hundred thousand metres of fabric.

Packaging is handled in our own department inside the plant. Nothing is finished on our floor and packed on someone else's, which is how we keep the same export standard for customers in Africa, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Mexico and the USA.

BEHIND K P OVERSEAS

Keval grew up in the business. He learned it beside his father — on the floor, through the machines, and across the table from customers — before taking it on himself in April 2025.

The business under his name is new. The trade behind it isn't. What he took from his father was a narrow, specific idea of what good work looks like: the same finish on the ten-thousandth metre as the first, and a straight answer when something can't be done to spec.

KEVAL PUROHIT

Ten Schiffli embroidery machines running at a 21-metre working width. The width is what matters: it lets us hold a single continuous repeat across the full panel instead of piecing it, so a large order comes off the floor as one consistent run rather than a set of near-matches.

Alongside the embroidery machines we run laser finishing, which cuts and seals in one pass. On heavy-gauge and intricate work that's the difference between a clean edge and a frayed one — and it's why we take on the dense designs most suppliers decline.

In an average month we move a million metres of lace and a hundred thousand metres of fabric. Seventy-five people work the plant at Bhidbhanjan, including our own packaging department, so goods are finished and packed under the same roof and the same standard.

PACKED TO EXPORT STANDARD

Packing is the last thing we do to an order and the first thing a buyer sees. We handle it in our own department inside the plant, which means the run that comes off our machines is the same run that goes into the carton — checked, measured and sealed by the people who made it, not handed to a third party once it leaves the floor.

Every roll is inspected and measured before it's packed, labelled with the design, gauge, width and metreage, and wrapped against moisture for the journey. Documentation goes out with the consignment so it clears without a query at the other end.

Requirements differ by market, and we pack to each. What a buyer in Bangladesh expects on a carton is not what a buyer in the USA expects, and a shipment held at customs over a label costs more than the label ever did.
